No employment may begin until a license has been secured. As part of the process, a background investigation, including a criminal history check, is conducted on each applicant. The initial license fee (maximum of $48) and annual renewal fees are the responsibility of the potential employee and must be paid at the time of submitting the license application to the VRC.
