Rules
- In order to participate, contestants will select their horse(s) in each of the four contest races every race day (generally, races 4-7) and receive the following contest wagers: a mythical $2 win, place and show wager, a mythical $2 Exacta, a mythical $2 Trifecta, and a mythical $2 Superfecta,. Put the program number of each selection in the corresponding box.
- All selections must be completed and sent in no later than 5 minutes to post of the first contest race.
- If a horse selected by a contestant is scratched for any reason in the WPS wager, the post time favorite in that particular race will serve as the substitute selection. There will be no substitutions for the exotic wagers.
- In the event of an “entry” (2 or more horses with common owners, trainers, etc. that is a single betting interest), the contestant, by selecting a part of that entry, also receives the other horse or horses for contest purposes. (ie – if there is #1 and #1A, mark #1 in contest box)
- The contestant that compiles the largest cumulative bankroll from mythical wagers over the four week contest wins a trip to Las Vegas next January and entry into the Coast Casino's $700,000 (est.) Handicapping World Series. 2nd prize is $250. 3rd prize is $125. 4th prize is $75; 5th prize is $50.
- Multiple winning entries will share that prize or prizes evenly. In the event there is a tie for 1st place (trip prize) there will be a 4 race playoff between tied entries on the next live race day.
- Only one entry per person each contest day. Players may change their picks as often as they like (prior to the day's deadline), but only the latest entry per person will be accepted.
- Contestants must be 18 years of age or older to participate.
- Licensees of the Virginia Racing Commission are ineligible to participate.
- Management of Colonial Downs will decide any questions or unforeseen changes not covered by these rules. Their decision will be final.
FAQ
Changing Picks:
You may change your picks on any bets you wish by re-selecting your choices for ONLY the bets you wish to change and resubmitting the form.
Im tied but my rank is lower than others I am tied with!
Due to the programming, you may be tied for a spot but you are randomly ordered (ie: there are 5 of you tied for first but it says your rank is 4th). The place listing is just for show; winners will be decided by their bankrolls, not by the ranking the leader board shows. (In the example above, all 5 of you would be considered first place winners.)
