The Colonial Turf Cup

The Colonial Turf Cup was created in 2005 to serve as the opening leg of the Grand Slam of Grass. English Channel’s impressive victory in the inaugural running gave the new race instant credibility, and multiple Grade I winner Showing Up’s 2006 victory helped the race reach graded status for 2007 – the first year it was eligible.
